and business software applications, today announced the release of Retire!
Income Needs Analyzer. "Every one plans to retire but we all worry
about whether or not we can afford it," said Robert Kennedy, President
and CEO of Slateboard Software. "We hear numbers like one or two
million dollars being needed but as many financial planners will tell
you, cash flow is the key." Retire! Income Needs Analyzer allows
users to input their various projected expenses, income sources and
cashable savings and then instantly project their future cash flow requirements.
Retire! will immediately identify, down to the day, any times where
your expenses will out strip your income or savings. This allows the
user to quickly see whether their retirement plans are realistic and
make adjustments as necessary.
"Retire!
allows the user to input expenses such as I have a telephone bill due
every month that is currently $100 and that will increase every year
by about 3% and never ends", explained Kennedy. "This is about
the extent that most other tools go but Retire! takes that further.
With Retire! you can say: My house needs a new roof every 15 years that
will cost me $20K or I need a new car every 8 years that will cost me
$300 a month for four years. Retire! is extremely flexible and even
allows you to enter your own expense items, not be pigeon-holed into
what we thought they might be.
Retire!
comes in four editions. The Home Edition, at $39.95 allows you to create
up to 5 income needs plans and net worth calculations. The Plus! Edition,
at $69.95, adds QuikCalc's Amortization Schedules Plus!, Payment Grids
(both limited to 5 stored schedules), the Solve for Missing Number Calculator
and dozens of Bonus Calculators. These editions are aimed at the consumer
market. The Premium Edition lifts the 5 plan limit and removes the Slateboard
branding from the Reports. The Office Edition, which adds multi-user
capability and a client management module, is targeted at the financial
planning professional. Users can upgrade between any edition for the
price difference if they decide they need the additional features.
