FOUNDATION SOFTWARE CHANGES NAME TO SLATEBOARD SOFTWARE

After 7 years software maker to rename itself

OTTAWA, Canada, September 1, 2001 - Foundation Software Inc., a developer of consumer and business software, today officially announced its new name, Slateboard Software Inc. "After seven years operating under the same name, we were very disappointed to have to change, " said Robert Kennedy, President & CEO. "Due to a bureaucratic error beyond our control we could not hold the trademark therefore we were forced to find a new one."

The new name comes after a year of consulting with customers and consumer groups. Picked from literally hundreds of suggestions, Slateboard Software Inc. becomes the company's official name as of today. "It is difficult to completely change a company name however we are excited about the new identity and look forward to reintroducing ourselves to our large customer base," commented Kennedy.
